A whipped, garlicky cream cheese spread piped onto crispy crostinis and finished with fresh chives and a pinch of everything bagel seasoning. Simple enough for a weeknight, impressive enough for a party.
1baguette or ciabatta rollsliced into 1/4-inch rounds (or 1 bag store-bought crostinis)
Olive oil for drizzling or spraying
For garnish:
Fresh chivesthinly sliced
Pinchof everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
Take the cream cheese out of the fridge 20 to 30 minutes before you start so it softens to room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Arrange bread slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Lightly drizzle or spray olive oil on both sides.
Bake 5 to 6 minutes per side until crispy and lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Add cream cheese, yogurt, olive oil, garlic, and everything bagel seasoning to a food processor. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
Scoop the spread into a quart-size zip-lock bag. Press out the air and seal. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
When ready to assemble, snip a 1/4-inch hole in one bottom corner of the bag.
Pipe the spread onto each cooled crostini.
Arrange on a serving platter. Garnish with a pinch of everything bagel seasoning and thinly sliced chives.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Make the spread up to 48 hours ahead and keep it sealed in the bag in the fridge until ready to use.Do not skip letting the cream cheese soften.Cold cream cheese will not blend smoothly.Assemble the crostinis no more than 20 minutes before serving so they stay crispy.Store-bought crostinis work perfectly and save time. For a brunch upgrade, lay a thin slice of smoked salmon on top of the spread before garnishing.
